Basic House Rules

We welcome new guests to our Fox Gap Summer Retreat who are seeking to have a peaceful and fun for all summer long. We rent a limited number of summer apartments because we want to keep our Lakehouse property exclusive for friendly and respectful guests who engender good fellowship with others and enjoy all the fine attributes of country living. Whether guests wish to be social or private during their summer stay, the following basic house rules apply to all of our Guests:

1. LIABILITY - Guests are required to hold the owners harmless of any liability for loss or damage to personal property or bodily injury to themselves, family, visiting guests, and pets, which could occur on the premises.
   
   
2. SUPERVISION - Guests are required to supervise the activities of our children and pets, and their visiting guests, at all times while on the premises to assure their safety and proper behavior. Guests have the sole responsibility to ensure safety controls at all times for family, guests, pets etc. while on the premises. Guests are responsible in providing life vests for appropriate family members and visiting guests and see that they are effectively worn at all times in or around the water.
   
   
3. ACCOMMODATIONS - Guests are required not to exceed 5 persons sleeping overnight in our rental unit, including family members and visiting guests, at any time. Only two pets per unit are allowed.
   
   
4. CLEANLINESS - Guests are required to keep their rental unit clean and leave it in the same condition as when they moved in. Guests will not litter the premises. and their pets are to be picked up after on property.
   
   
5. SEPTIC SYSTEMS - Guests agree that only natural waste and toilet tissue will be flushed into the septic system; that sanitary napkins, disposable diapers, and wet strength paper will never be flushed into the system. In addition, Guests will exercise caution about excessive use of water and notify the owners immediately if toilets malfunction to prevent system flooding.
   
   
6. DISTURBANCE - Guests agree that, between 11:00 pm and 9:00 am their computers and TV will be turned down to a reasonable audible level and that other social activities will be conducted in a manner allowing others have a peaceful sleep.
   
   
7. OFF-ROAD VEHICLES - Guests agree not to operate, or permit minors under their supervision or visiting guests, to operate any off-road vehicles on the premises such as motorcycles, ATVs, or gas outboards.
   
   
8. WEAPONS - Guests agree not to discharge guns or bows of any type on the premises or surrounding land. No hunting or target practice is allowed on the premises.
   
   
9. FISHING - Guests agree to fish using only barbless hooks and on a catch and release basis only; Guests shall wet your hands before handling any fish to preserve its protective coating. Do not fish for Koi or Israeli Carp, or in the areas where they congregate as these are the owner's pets.
   
   
10. PARKING - Guests agree to park our vehicles, and guest vehicles, on the designated graveled parking area only.
    
    
11. RENTAL LEASE - A binding rental agreement for a 10 week period shall be provided to Guests for signature prior to renting their apartment. The lease includes the above-mentioned house rules along with Clauses pertaining to renting a unit.
