Indoor Amenities
Fox Gap Summer Retreat offers house-keeping apartments with scenic lakeside views. Each apartment accommodates from 4 -5 people comfortably. They and are fully furnished with dressers, chairs, dining table and closet space. There are two bedroom alcoves each with two twin beds (which can be combined to make a king size bed) and in the living area there is a sofa bed. An equipped kitchen provides cabinets, sink, stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishes. glassware, flatware, cooking utensils and pots and pans. Each unit has a bathroom with shower. The entrance into the ranch building includes a shared screened porch which is furnished. A shared utility closet provides house-keeping equipment; Swifter, broom, vacuum etc. Due to the limitations of having a septic system, we do not provide a dishwasher or washing machine/dryer appliances. Guests are responsible for supplying their own bed linens, towels, and toiletries
Outdoor Amenities
For outdoor dining a picnic table that seats six people is provided for each apartment. For fun on the lake, paddle boards, kayak, paddle boat, fishing boat, and lounge floats are available. A variety of outdoor chairs are abundant and are located around the fireplace. If desired, Guests may bring their own outdoor accessories, such as lounge chairs, bicycles, sporting equipment etc., for their private use.
The Lakehouse has spacious patios with chairs that overlook the water. A pavilion with a movie theater is a great place to stay out of the sun and relax in the comfort of Adirondack chairs. The gazebo has a slider bench seat and is a quiet place to read, enjoy watching ducks landing on the water, listening to the nearby water fountain, or just taking time out to daydream. Sunbathing on the clean white sand beach is a favorite. Cooking on the large charcoal barbeque grille or the gas Weber grille makes meal preparation simple and easy.
For our energetic guests there are many activities available such as hiking the expanded woods surrounding the property or walking our open fields among active bluebird houses, biking around the lake, or exploring the endless scenic power line trails.
Utilities and Services
All utilities and services are included with rental cost: AC unit, water, propane gas, electric, WiFi Internet etc.
- Our Grounds Keeper comes weekly to maintain the landscape of the property.
- The property’s wastewater treatment and removal uses a septic system which is routinely maintained.
- Electric and plumbing service/repair is provided, if needed.
- Landscape and spot lighting and patio lights gently illuminate the grounds at night time.
- A large gravel parking area is a close walking distance from ranch building
- A propane Weber gas grill is available for use by guests
- A roadside dumpster for garbage (pick-ups every other week).
- Split firewood logs are available for use with the outdoor fireplace.
Optional Services
All utilities and services are included with rental cost: AC unit, water, propane gas, electric, WiFi Internet etc.
- Guests have the option of paying to have a house cleaning service maintain their Apartment during their summer stay.
- Local Laundromats offer drop-off wash and fold services.
- There are several local restaurants that offer convenient food deliveries e.g. Johnnie’s Restaurant (Italian), Wah Shing (Chinese), Slate Belt Diner (American)
- Guests have the option of paying for Pet Sitting Services if they are planning to be away for the day.
- A large smart TV is provided in each Apartment. Guests may view their choice of Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Disney etc. by logging onto their personal accounts upon arrival. When your summer stay is over you need to simply delete/log out your personal account information.
- Our Pavilion Theater provides free cable service for viewing standard TV channels/networks and a variety of Streaming Apps (without needing an account sign-in).
